June 11th is supported by the International Play Association (IPA World) who were one of the global organizations who campaigned for the day – but IPA World has reminded us, it is not about global organizations, this day is about community. It is now time for the communities across the world, who support and promote play to take up a leadership role. The International Day of Play is a day for community and for celebration of play in it’s simplest form – it is about play as a biological imperative!
So please take this opportunity to celebrate and create playful moments.
